Making Room for God On Purpose

Dear Rally Partners,

As the weather changes and I see the the trees changing colors, I can’t help but think about how exciting a time it is to be a believer in Christ. This month, I want to share some of the words God has been given me. This includes words on:

Our Purpose

Diligence

Contending

Making Room for God

The more room we make for God means less room for the flesh and the influence of the world in our lives. Let’s take a look at what the book of Jude has to say about this topic:

Jude 1:3 KJV

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

The word diligence means constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is at hand; being persistent. This one word contains so much power! Jude wanted to make known the salvation that was available to all believers, and he was determined to give us his full attention in doing this. He also said that it was needful for him to make it know unto us. To me, it sounds like Jude was not playing around, as he also mentioned that we should earnestly contend for the faith that was delivered unto us in Christ Jesus. My friends, we must strive to walk with Christ as seriously as Jude. In order to do so, we must first make room for God in our daily lives; the more room we make for God in our lives, the more room God makes for us in His glory.

Partners, I believe that the church as a whole must get back to the place where we lay down our lives, choosing

instead to pick up His life for the world to see. We as the Body of Christ need to let the glory of God shine in us and through us like never before!

In that verse, Jude shared another point I would like to shed some light on: “…and I exhort you that ye shouldearnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” When Jude uses that word exhort, he is using it as a call to action. He is telling us to get it together when it comes to the faith that was once given to us. Now is not the time to let your faith slip!

There are many Christians in the world who don’t want to offend people, but they could care less if they offend God. These individuals are people pleasers, not God pleasers. But we must contend for the common salvation of God, strive to make Christ known, and be all that God has called us to be!

But what is the common salvation? It is praying, reading the Bible, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ DAILY!

Partners, we must be aware of the fact that Jesus is coming back soon and, therefore, we must make room for His return. I say that we make so much room for God that it ushers in a wave of glory in our lives like never before! Say amen if you believe!

Partners, we call you blessed spiritually, physically, mentally, socially, financially, and family. We love you!
