Get the Good News Out
Dear Rally Partners,
This month I would like to share with you what I’m hearing from The Lord. First let me say this: if we are living in the last days, we should be hearing last day instructions from The Lord. We should also be praying last day prayers and be filled with last day desires. I know that’s a lot to take in, but please allow me to break it down.
First, let’s read a portion of Scripture from the book of Psalms. In this passage, David is referring to Jesus Christ as our Savior, but we can also see that it is his desire to do God’s will too!
Psalm 40:7-9 KJV
(7)Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, (8) I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. (9) I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.
I would like to point out a few key things in these verses:
Verse 7
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me…
I believe this needs to be our prayer too; we must come to the world and the lost in the volume of what is written about us as children of the most high, and we must come in full of what the Bible is saying to the world. We must tell everyone the good news!
Verse 8
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
We must delight ourselves in the work of the Lord and it must be our joy! Also, it says His Law or (His Word) is in our hearts, not just on our laps or on the kitchen counter in our home; it needs to be in our hearts. We must have the Word of God flowing out of our mouths and out our hearts, because the world needs to hear the good news.
Verse 9
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest…
We must preach righteousness, we must allow the word of God to come out of our mouth, and we must tell the world the truth: that God loves them, and that He can save them, heal them, deliver them, and make them whole!
Partners, this must grow big on the inside of us; we must be consumed with the great commission. We need to pray that the Spirit of God would burn within us, giving us a hunger to reach the lost and the hurting. We must cry out to God daily for the fire from heaven, and we must do the will of God because we are living in the last days!
Jesus said that He came to do the full will of the Father, so let this also be our prayer today!
